Day 2, Saturday. Arrive Madrid

Day 3, Sunday. Madrid

Breakfast at hotel. Enjoy a morning panoramic tour featuring the historical Plaza Mayor, classically decorated Neptune and Cibeles Fountains, the Plaza de España with its Don Quixote statue, and the city’s busy thoroughfares and wide boulevards. Rest of day at leisure. (B)

Day 4, Monday. Madrid - Toledo - Granada

Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure from Madrid to Toledo, the ancient capital of Castile. A walking tour with your guide will explore the narrow cobblestone streets, visiting the impressive cathedral, as well as a former synagogue, and one of the masterpieces by the famous painter

El Greco. After lunch, continue on to Granada for dinner and overnight at the Hotel Carmen (or similar) (B+D)

Day 5, Tuesday. Granada – Costa del Sol

Breakfast at hotel. Morning tour of one of the most historic cities in Spain, the only surviving medieval Arab palace in the world, decorated with beautiful mosaics and refreshing fountains. Continue your tour in the Generalife, the sultans’ summer gardens displaying the old irrigation techniques, and offering a panoramic view of the Moorish Albayzin. In the afternoon proceed to Costa Del Sol for two nights at the Las Piramides Hotel (or similar) (B)

Day 6, Wednesday. Costa del Sol

Breakfast at hotel. The entire day at leisure to enjoy one of Europe’s most popular playgrounds. Relax on the beach, take an optional tour to the picturesque village of Mijas overlooking the Mediterranean, or to the exotic port of Tangiers in northern Morocco. (B)

Day 7, Thursday. Costa del Sol - Seville

Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure from Costa del Sol to Seville, stopping in Ronda for a tour of this ancient walled town and part of the famed ‘White Village’ area. Continue on to Seville, for two nights in this renowned city at the Hesperia Hotel (or similar). Dinner at the Hotel (B+D)

Day 8, Friday. Seville

Breakfast at hotel. This morning’s tour will visit Seville’s famous cathedral, as well as the Giralda bell tower, a former minaret. Wander the narrow streets of Santa Cruz, the old Jewish Quarter, where whitewashed houses line narrow cobblestone alleys, refreshing fountains decorate intimate

plazas, and university students crowd the cafes and bars. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening, choose one of the many Flamenco shows (optional) (B)

Day 9, Saturday. Seville - Lisbon

Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure from Seville to Lisbon, via the ‘Jabugo’ (ham center) of Spain, and the ‘Alentejo’ region, center of Portugal’s cork production. Arrive in Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, for 3 nights accommodation in Lisbon at the Fenix hotel (or similar) (B)

Day 10, Sunday. Lisbon

Breakfast at hotel. This morning’s Lisbon tour will visit the quaint Alfama, the former Moorish quarter, with its narrow and twisting streets, cobblestone alleys and small whitewashed houses. Drive to the historical Belem district, where you will see the Tower of Belem, Monument to the

Day 11, Monday. Lisbon

Breakfast at hotel. Full day of leisure to explore Lisbon’s many neighborhoods or take advantage of the shopping opportunities. (B)

Day 12, Tuesday. Lisbon – Fatima - Salamanca

Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure to Fatima and a visit to the site of the famous religious miracles. Continue through the picturesque countryside and Estrella mountains across the border into Spain to Salamanca for an orientation tour of the Plaza Mayor. Accommodations for one night at the Hotel Regio (or similar). Enjoy dinner at the hotel. (B+D)

Day 13, Wednesday. Salamanca - Madrid

Breakfast at hotel. Morning departure from Salamanca to Madrid, via Avila and Segovia, for one night accommodation at the Florida Norte hotel (or similar). Rest up or enjoy Madrid’s famous (and late) night-life. (B)
